Autoparts Firms Achieve a Joint Export to Peru

  • Pellacani and FAESA have participated in ProCórdoba's Export Development Program since 2018.
  • Both companies have been in the market for over 70 years.
The firms devoted to autoparts manufacturing managed to export to Peru by working together.

FAESA manufactures springs for trucks and semi-trailers. This is the second time it exports to Peru. On the other hand, Pellacani specializes in spare parts for heavy vehicles. It works in the domestic market, Brazil and England. Now, it has achieved its first export to Peru.

In 2019, the firms welcomed international importers at their facilities. The visit was organized by ProCórdoba's Business Intelligence Service for the companies participating in the Export Development Program for the autoparts sector. On that occasion, FAESA started a business relationship with an importer from Peru and achieved its first export. The company has now made a second sale with the client, but this time, the deal was closed working together with Pellacani.

Associating as an Export Strategy

Mateo Pellacani, a representative for the eponymous firm, said, "We have been working with ProCórdoba since 2000. We have participated in inward trade missions, export groups, and national and international fairs." Thanks to the Export Development Program, the firm has been able to penetrate a new market in the region. Pellacani referred to the sale and said, "This joint export includes pins and bushings of our own but used in the leaf springs manufactured by FAESA."

FAESA's General Manager Mariano Cassanelli further explained, "On this occasion we exported to Peru 285 articles for truck and pick-ups of different brands. We will keep working to boost the Latin American market. I believe the challenging context opens up new opportunities against the backdrop of a complex world economy. Achieving an export during the pandemic was a huge challenge." He elaborated on the present situation and added, "Thanks to the great commitment of our engineering team we have been able to develop 27 new products, through work that included to only technical development but also testing and manufacturing."

The Business Intelligence Service implemented through ProCórdoba Agency by our Ministry of Industry, Trade and Mining is designed to prepare the province's export offer for global demands and help Cordobese companies to position their products in strategic markets. With that in mind, the Agency develops an Export Development Program specifically designed to face the needs of each sector and company. At present the program is working with the dairy, milling, pasta & baking, auto parts, rubber & plastics, agricultural machinery and software sectors.
