During the event, Utsiev Rashid, from the Russian company "Ecofood", evaluated:

“All people know about the expansion of the Russian industry during the current year and this is reflected in the products that we used to import from the European Union. In this framework, Argentina is an interesting country as a possible importer. We came to this place especially in search for cheese and meat.”

Moreover, the Russian businessman said that he is doing business with different brands and highlighted the possibility of keeping trade in the long term since he considers that there are companies with potential.

On his part, Julio César Rubén, from Paraguay, representative of Varsa Company, said:

“We have a plant for which we need instant whole milk to distribute in Paraguay. We came to this place searching for this and we are also interested in drinks and food, and cheeses in particular.”

Likewise, the Paraguayan businessman regarded local companies as "very professional" and confirmed that from the interviews conducted in the round, the possibilities of incorporating local productions in their sales channels will be analyzed. It is important to say that Varsa has more than eight thousand sales points in Paraguay and has 35 years of experience as distributor in the market, with experience in the purchase of the local production.

In accordance with his partner, Marcel Gustavo from the Paraguayan company Ramirez Díaz De Espada, said that the Paraguayan market has singularities because it is not very attractive as regards volume but it is interesting for the presence of brands.

What is more, he added that the local products have good reception because the Argentine know-how is very well-known. As regards his interest, he said:

“We are searching for convenient and competitive products in the area of dairy products, cheese and milk powder. We will evaluate the profiles and we want to work in a sustained manner over time."

Moreover, some of the foreign participants visited the companies’ manufacturing establishments of the region (Noal, Lorenzati Ruesch and Punta del Agua.)
