ProCórdoba’s Intranational Trade Program is Working on the Differentiated Foods Sector

ProCórdoba has completed the first stage of the Differentiated Foods and Beverages project, within the framework of the Intranational Trade Program.

In the last years, the differentiated foods market has taken a qualitative and quantitative jump, as a result of the new consumer trends around the world. Therefore, the aim is to conduct research on the sector in the Province of Córdoba, in order to identify the specific needs of SMEs and design a set of tools to enhance their performance.

For the first stage, 13 local firms were selected. They met with one another and offered a brief presentation of the company and their products. Some of the areas covered are types of cheese, spices, meats and sausages, chocolates, preserves, specialties, alcoholic drinks, oils, and sauces. The purpose of the meeting was to design strategies to work together during 2020. The companies were:

PUESTO VIEJO - CALEUFU GOURMET - ESTACIÓN LA FINCA - SANTA FRANCISCA - HC ARTESANAL - NAZARENO (VEGETANESA) - PEPPER AND CO - GIN EL ALQUIMISTA - MANUCO - ACEITES DEL DESIERTO - FRUIT DE LAIT - DUO SILVESTRE - TORO PUJIO

Also present was ProCórdoba Agency's President Jorge Marcotegui, who commented,

"Even in spite of all the hurdles ahead, there are people willing to move forward, and we are here to support them. The drive that characterizes the Cordobese business sector is worthy of admiration. You need to be smart enough to separate the commercial from other things, because although we may be competitors out in the street, we are at the same time faced with the same challenges and we should tackle them together. So you are strongly encouraged to participate, and join the chambers we work with and which are represented in our Board of Directors."

The event also welcomed Industrial Promotion Director Marcelo Cuello, of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Mining, and María José Patiño, of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock's Under Office of Strategic Planning. They were joined by Andrea Ravich, head organizer of the Expo Delicatessen and Wines fair, the first event in which the group will participate as such.
