ProCórdoba Agency in Education: Promoting and Spreading Knowledge

Consolidating an export culture and strengthening teaching and training are crucial actions for a foreign trade promotion agency like ours. That is why ProCórdoba offers training programs and participates in modules or lessons given by educational institutions at the different levels, in order to spread information and knowledge about foreign trade and allow others to learn about this field more in depth.

Apart from the services provided to businesses, the Agency also offers training activities about foreign trade at the different education levels. Something worth pointing out is the fact that it is the Agency itself that seeks out educational institutions to promote training and education activities.

At present, ProCórdoba is offering, together with the Ministry of Education of the Province, the teacher-training program "Creating an Export Culture." It has a duration of 20 hours and includes the presentation of some practice-focused projects, as well as an individual exam. The program is offered not only in the capital city of Córdoba, but also around the interior of the province. This year, it was given in Villa María, Marcos Juárez, Villa Dolores, Arroyito, Bell Ville, San Francisco, Río Tercero, Cosquín and Río Cuarto. On the other hand, the Agency has given the course "To Apprehend with Success" twice this year. The course, which also certifies 20 training hours and whose students are evaluated in the manner explained above, was given, on both occasions, at the Instituto Saber in the capital city.

In total, 424 teachers have attended the training sessions.

At the university level, in 2019 we gave, for the second year in a row and together with the Catholic University of Córdoba, the Diploma Course in International Cooperation. The course aims at offering fresh views on international cooperation, which now requires the participation of multiple actors, among which the private sector plays a crucial role. The Sustainable Development Goals underscore the role of partnerships for the attainment of said goals, and among its targets is the promotion of international trade.

On the other hand, we have collaborated with the National University of Córdoba on a subject included in the "Diploma Course on Business Management with the People's Republic of China."

Recently the Agency provided professionals for the Specialization in International Business given by the Universidad Siglo 21 (university), specifically for the modules on International Trade Operations, and International Marketing, and the Seminar on International Public Procurement.

Furthermore, there is a strong demand for technical training on the use of foreign trade databases. Professionals from our Technical & Commercial Information Department give practical tools to students of related programs in institutes and universities of Córdoba.

For ProCórdoba, promoting and spreading knowledge are crucial to the strengthening of an export culture in the province.
