FExIC Supports the Internationalization of the Software Industry

Thanks to FExIC (the Fund for Export and Internationalization of Cordobese Companies), which is administered by ProCórdoba Agency, IncluIT coordinated the visit of international clients to their premises, whom they welcomed this month to strengthen relations and establish new trade agreements.

IncluIT has been devoted for 25 years to bringing digital transformation to companies, based on agile methods for the development of software and exponential technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, the internet of things, data science and big data. At present, it has an active plant of over 400 engineers and exports more than 50% of its products to markets such as Paraguay, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Spain and the US.

Chairman Rafael Ibañez said, "Our relationship with ProCórdoba started many years ago when our exports represented less than 5% of our products. They have supported us through fairs and business travels. We are steadily investing in the export market and these programs help us to be braver in the search for better goals."

Early this year IncluIT submitted a project when calls were opened for FExIC 2019, and the evaluation commission approved it. The company has been able to successfully execute the budget allocated for the proposed activities.

The objective of FExIC is to partially fund projects that seek to increase exports, diversify or regain markets, or achieve the internationalization of Cordobese companies, through business plans or projects that lead to the increase in Cordobese exports and the generation of quality employment.

The project submitted by IncluIT proposed visits by important clients from the US. Ibañez highlighted the importance of this trade promotion activity: "We have been working with these clients since the beginning of the year and things have run well, but this visit was necessary for them to see, first-hand, that we are a world-class business and that they can trust us just as much as they trust any company based in the US, or even more. We expect to achieve great results. I believe this trip will certainly expand the business opportunities with this new trust relationship we have attained."

The American Clients' Opinion

The visitors, who came to Córdoba for the first time, were Matthew Brocker, Director of Solutions at Six Nines, and Eric Terell, Managing Director at Fluid HPC, both from Austin, Texas. The companies work together, as explained by Brocker: "Six Nines is the integrator for the Fluid HPC product. I help the delivery team lead the products and solutions that we focus on with our customers, and ensure that our customers are happy and successful. Six Nines is a cloud native systems integrator. We help companies to move to the cloud responsibly, following best practices for cost optimization, security, etc."

Fluid HPC's Terell, for his part, said, "Fluid HPC is an end-user facing product. It allows data scientists and engineers working with simulations to do so more easily with large data, in the cloud." Regarding the visit to the IncluIT offices, he expressed, "The personal time with the leadership team and everyone at all levels, really, allows us to have confidence in the business relationship and in future planning and strategy. We've talked about not just our product but how we can possibly do more business together. The experience has opened our eyes to more possibilities of how we can expand our business together."

Brocker also shared his views on the significance of this business trip: "The FExIC program is great, really. It has allowed us to interact in person with the teams that we've been working with remotely. This week alone we've probably shortcut three weeks of remote development. This has allowed me to establish a very personal relationship with the teams that I'm working with on my projects. And that's going to have a very big impact going forward."

A Growing Sector

Contrary to other industries at present, the software industry has enjoyed steady growth in the province. Today, it has become a fundamental support for any activity and one of the keys to its growth is the increase in exports.

In this regard, Ibañez offered a reflection: "We know that export is an opportunity to create more quality and genuine work. As a firm, we have enjoyed astounding growth in the international market, which allows us to keep expanding and offer professionals the opportunity to work at a fun and challenging place."

He also affirmed, "ProCórdoba offers a nudge forward, encouragement to seek out the many opportunities the world is filled with. It promotes and offers resources to be courageous and go out into the export market, which should be taken at the earliest, because that's something we'll all have to do sooner or later."

FExIC is aimed at SMEs from all productive sectors. In 2019, the funds were doubled, allowing to offer greater assistance capacity. This year, in addition, many companies applied. With the support of ProCórdoba Agency, the firms with approved projects are now seeing the results in their road to internationalization and the creation of genuine work.
