Córdoba Explores Opportunities to Increase Air Connectivity with Chile

  • As part of the Multisectoral Mission to Santiago, Chile, provincial authorities held meetings with various airlines based in the neighboring country, to whom they presented the characteristics of our province.
  • ProCórdoba's President Pablo De Chiara, together with the head of the Córdoba Tourism Agency, Darío Capitani, accompanied Vice Governor Myriam Prunotto on visits to JetSmart, Sky Airlines, and LATAM.
  • The authorities explored opportunities to expand the Córdoba hub and make our province a true alternative for air travel to Argentina.

During these meetings, which took place within the framework of Córdoba Day Santiago, Pablo De Chiara said, "We are a landlocked state that works hard on its connectivity, both by land and by air. Today, we are connected to Chile by only one daily flight, and we want to recover the frequencies we lost with the pandemic."

He underscored that in addition to adding new destinations in Brazil, Córdoba has just inaugurated a new flight to Bogotá and announced more destinations to Europe, consolidating Córdoba airport as the third most important airport in Argentina and the second province with the busiest airport in the country.

"It is very important for us to continue strengthening these efforts, because we want many tourists to visit Córdoba and for there to be more commercial ties between the two regions," added Pablo De Chiara.

Opportunities offered by Córdoba

When presenting the province, the president of ProCórdoba explained, "We are located in the heart of Argentina, and we stand out as a key productive hub in the country's economy. With high-value productive diversity, advanced infrastructure, and an innovative management model, we offer an environment favorable for national and international investment. The synergy between investment promotion and tourism promotion is fundamental for a well rounded and sustainable development in the province. Air connectivity is key to developing the province as an attractive destination for tourism and international investment in the sectors that make up its productive matrix," added the Agency's leader.

"Córdoba combines many things: industry, productivity, its focus on competitiveness, and teamwork. But what sets us apart most is our people, with their tongue-in-cheek humor, trademark accent, and friendly disposition, which make visitors feel better than at home. Come visit Córdoba because you will surely never forget it," concluded Pablo De Chiara.
