A delegation of institutional representatives and businesspeople from Córdoba paid a visit to the Chilean capital, with the goal of strengthening commercial and institutional ties between our province and the neighboring country by exploring strategic opportunities for economic development and tourism in the province.
The delegation was headed by Vice Governor Myrian Prunotto, ProCórdoba's President Pablo De Chiara, and Córdoba Tourism Agency's President Darío Capitani, who were joined by provincial legislators and private sector leaders from various strategic sectors. Córdoba Day at Santiago de Chile was held on Tuesday, June 24, at the InterContinental Santiago hotel. Organized by ProCórdoba and the Córdoba Tourism Agency, the event was designed to officially present Córdoba's potential to international markets and bring to the fore its comparative advantages in key sectors such as tourism, energy, construction, health, and the knowledge economy.
The presentation of Córdoba's productive profile was given by the president of the ProCórdoba Agency, Pablo De Chiara, who explained, "All the Córdoba Day activities are aimed at making ourselves known and creating the opportunity to show what our province has to offer. We want to share the enormous potential for the Chilean ecosystem and, from there, generate new commercial opportunities."
Córdoba Day wrapped up with a tasting of Córdoba's typical foods (prepared by chef Andrés Chaijale), paired with a selection of Córdoba wines. The meeting helped to further strengthen the ties between the public and private sectors, creating a space conducive to dialog and the construction of new opportunities for regional integration.
Institutional and Business Meetings
As part of the institutional trip, government officials and business representatives from Córdoba met with authorities from Finte Chile, an entity that brings together leading companies in technology and modernization. During the encounters, they were able to learn about the regulations and characteristics of the activity in this country and explore opportunities for innovation in the field, which Córdoba's technology companies can take advantage of.
Later, Vice Governor Prunotto, accompanied by Pablo De Chiara and Darío Capittani, visited the headquarters of JetSmart airline in Santiago, where they spoke with company authorities about the possibility of expanding the Córdoba hub and consolidating the province as a true air gateway to the country.
