Minister of Industry of the Province Eduardo Acastello, Secretary of Industry Fernando Sibilla, and ProCórdoba Agency's President Jorge Marcotegui welcomed representatives of the Group of Agricultural Machinery of Argentina. The group comprises nine companies and is now seeking to penetrate the Russian market with agricultural machinery.

Accastello referred to the partnership and said,

"We will support this group that brings innovation and will generate more jobs, taking on the challenge presented by Governor Schiaretti regarding the 2030 New Productive Matrix for our Province. We know that Cordobese firms play a central part in achieving the goal."

"We need to plan for the future in terms of industrial and productive development, centered around partnerships and concerted work between the public and private sectors," expressed the Minister.

For his part, ProCórdoba's President noted,

"We have been conducting trade promotion activities for the agricultural machinery sector for years, exclusively devoted to the Russian market. Based on business intelligence work that included a visit to Russia in May 2019, we identified the commercial, institutional and logistics aspects that allowed us to determine the potential of this market. Together with AFAMAC and a group of nine firms that have undertaken a very serious commitment, there emerged this opportunity, which is an example of public-private work to be reckoned by other sectors. We are about to embark on a journey that will hopefully yield good results and become a watershed in our export history, considering the significance of the market."

ProCórdoba will provide financial assistance, support the group's participation in trade missions and international fairs, and execute cooperation agreements. The Agency's efforts will be aimed at promoting and fostering the development of the Cordobese and national industries in Russia, and commercializing agricultural technologies.
