Córdoba Present at AlimentAR

The first Aliment.AR Expo kicked off on November 8th in the City of Buenos Aires with over 20 Cordobese companies participating in the event. The expo, held at Tecnópolis, gathers food and beverage industry companies form all around Argentina and neighboring countries.

The Province of Córdoba owes the participation of its companies to the Production Cabinet of the Ministries of Industry, Trade and Mining, Agriculture and Livestock, and Science and Technology. ProCórdoba and its work teams were in charge of coordinating the event.

The opening ceremony took place at noon. Representing the Government of Córdoba were Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Sergio Busso, and ProCórdoba Agency General Manager Roberto Rossotto and Trade Promotion Manager Luis Gilli.

Busso stated,

I am proud to see that our province stands out for the quality and quantity of its businesses and for what these can offer to the toughest, most demanding markets. This is what the State wants to encourage: the adding of value to the excellent primary production of Córdoba.”

Roberto Rossotto, for his part, said,

We are accompanying the companies, showcasing the food potential that Córdoba Province has. The purpose is to show all that we have to offer in the food industry and incorporate the oil, peanut and dairy sectors. ProCórdoba set up an institutional stand in which nine companies participated. Besides, companies which hired their own stands received financial support from the Agency. On the other hand, ProCórdoba facilitated access to the international business round LacFlavors.”

Export.AR closed its doors on November 10th. The event is an international meeting point for companies from all over the region and it seeks to promote the introduction of agri-industrial companies in international markets. Participating companies belong to the following sectors: meats; additives; frozen products; processed foods and conserves; fats and oils; dairy products; grains and cereals; fruits and vegetables; gourmet products; beverages; organic foods; and all other food sector products.

It should be highlighted that the expo included the international business round LAC FLAVORS, as well as other B2B meetings. ProCórdoba Agency provided support to Cordobese companies which exhibited products in the expo, through the Intranational Program.

The local companies which participated in the institutional stand at Aliment.AR are: ValorA – Dulcor – Dimax – Escalugiu – Oblita – Makarona – Magret – Refinería del Centro – Siempre Verde. Among the companies which set up their own stands are the following: the Argentine Peanut Chamber, Nieuw Wereld S.A., Praga SRL, Web Supplements SRL, JL S.A, Prodeman S.A, SA Molinos Fenix., Legume. Furthermore, AGD and Molinos Cañuelas participated in the business rounds and as exhibitors.
