Anuga, Setting the Trend for 100 Years

Cordobese firms participated in the leading food fair in the world. Anuga, celebrating its 100th anniversary, is still setting the trend in the industry.


In this edition in Cologne, Germany, there were 7,590 exhibitors from 106 countries and over 170,000 visitors. The rising number of professional visitors and exhibitors confirms the excellent position of Anuga in the industry.

On this ocassion, 26 Cordobese firms participated in the leading food fair, with the support and general coordination of ProCórdoba Agency and its team.

Daniel Urcia, a member of the Agency's board of directors who accompanied the firms, expressed, "There's been a strong demand on the part of SMEs this year for support to participate in events, through the different programs offered by the Agency. We know that participation involves a huge investment on the part of companies, which is why ProCórdoba offers its support, so that firms can strengthen business, generate new clients and increase sales in the international market."

Refinería del Centro representative Claudio Irusta participated in the fair and said, "We have hadt the chance to learn about new trends, contact clients and prepare quotations. We acknowledge the support we've received from the Government through ProCórdoba Agency, which is constantly working to strengthen exports from the region."

Lactear's Yanina Bosio also talked about her experience: "Both through its support for participation in fairs and missions and through its Business Intelligence Service, ProCórdoba is always developing Cordobese companies so that we can expand into the international market." "It's very important to be present in these international fairs, since they allow us to contact future clients and open doors to new highly developed regions with growing purchasing power," closed Bosio.

"We truly recognize the importance of the sector's participation, as well as the country's presence, in the international event, because it brings us closer to new markets, helps us grow, and keeps us up to date on the latest pricing and consumption trends," commented Alemar's Maria Mónaco.

Cordobese exhibitors in the Argentine institutional stand were Alemar, Bustos y Beltrán, Cura Té Alma, Cotagro, Gastaldi, Grupo Ckoos, Lácteos La Cristina, Maniagro Argentina, and Tecnocampo. On the other hand, the companies who went on the mission as visitors were Agro Specialities, Agroempresa Semillas S.A, Asociación de Frigoríficos e Industriales de la Carne, Alejandro Carnelutti, Cayfe Export, Fernando Cuervo, Frigorífico Novara, Frigorífico Regional Colonia Tirolesa, Frigorífico San Francisco S.A, Lactear S.A, Logros, Nunexco S.A, Productos Raulito, Refinería del Centro S.A, San Maraugusto, Valor A, and Vare.

Anuga 2019 served as a true window into the future. It was the place where the strategic decisions for all the food industry were discussed, and where new solutions and concepts to the challenges of the world food industry were presented. The next edition of Anuga will take place on October 9-13, 2021.
